Re-opener Update #28: Management Stands Alone

Watch a brief update from the bargaining team

Today, we passed along four creative options that would ensure we are compensated for the additional work required to make up Winter term and carry that work forward into Spring, while keeping our students whole and maintaining the quality of education they deserve.

We know how stressful and uncertain this moment is, and we want to acknowledge that. While we also know this cannot go on forever, we are cautiously hopeful and believe we are very close to the finish line.

Governor Kotek has spoken directly with our team twice today and expressed support for our position. She has been in contact with college administration encouraging meaningful movement and will continue to advocate for a swift and equitable resolution.

We are here, ready to settle. We have put forward clear, workable options, and the gap is small. What remains is straightforward: management must compensate us for the work we have done and the work we will do. The Governor understands this. Our legislators understand this. Management understands this.

All that’s left is for management to act.

We will keep you updated as events unfold. In the meantime, we’ll see you tomorrow on the picket line for 90s day and a potluck lunch! Check pccstrike.com for details!
