PCCFFAP Strike Fund

The Executive Council has established a Strike Fund as a safety net for PCCFFAP members in the event of a strike. The goal is to save enough to support those who would be at-risk of losing basic needs (like healthcare and housing) during a strike. In this way, we ensure members have resources to hold the line until our demands are met.

The Strike Fund is intended to support PCCFFAP members in need of financial assistance during a strike. Note: loss of pay during a strike would be temporary. A tentative agreement would most likely include retroactive pay for work days lost due to a strike.

In the event of a strike, the Solidarity Committee will determine when and how to distribute funds, depending on the amount available in the fund and how long we expect the strike to last. This webpage will be updated to include this information, as well as instructions on how to apply for funds. Amounts given to the Strike Fund cannot be used for any other purpose. Unused funds will be carried forward to the next fiscal year.
