Elections Timeline
- April 24 – Nominations Close. Nominees will be contacted and asked to provide a photo and a candidate statement.
- April 28 – Email to announce the candidates running for office
- May 1 – Candidate statement and photograph due
- May 26 – Ballots sent via secure email
- June 4 – Deadline and Ballot Count
- June 5 – Results emailed to members
- July 1 – New officers start their positions on the EC
Position Descriptions and Compensation*
*Please note that the EC will consider changes to officer compensation in summer 2026, so honorariums may be revised. Any changes will be subject to EC approval.

| Vice President for Grievance and Contract Administration (Academic Professionals) | Represents Academic Professionals on behalf of the Federation in enforcing the contract (working with HR, handling grievance matters). They may also serve on the Federation’s contract negotiations team. | 10 hours release time per week or stipend equivalent to one course release per term |
| Vice-President for Communications | Chairs the Communications Committee, leads strategic communication efforts for the organization, gathers and edits information for publication, works closely with the president and other stakeholders to develop member communications and coordinates the local’s communication strategy. | $3,000 yearly |
| Organizing Officer | Chairs or co-chairs the Organizing Committee, oversees the design and implementation of annual membership development plan, recruits new members and support involvement in the Federation, conducts membership drives, defines training and activities for Contract Action Team (CAT) members, works closely with the Staff Organizers and Lead Stewards. | $3,000 yearly |
| Nominations and Elections Officer | Chairs the Nominations and Elections Committee, oversees all membership votes (election of officers, contract ratification, and other actionable items), oversees recruitment, approval, and orientation of Federation officers, recruits Executive Council members, ensures appropriate nomination and election/approval processes according to the Constitution and Bylaws, oversees coordination of members attending labor related conferences/trainings. | $3,000 yearly |
| Lead Steward for Part Time Faculty | Represents PT faculty), communicates with and organizes PT faculty members, serves as liaison to Grievance Officer or the Grievance Committee as needed, recruits, trains, supports, and reports on the work of a larger group of volunteers who serve in an entry-level FFAP leadership position – “Stewards” | $3,000 yearly |

Serving on the Executive Council is an excellent opportunity to represent members and participate in the decision making for FFAP. There’s no experience necessary and onboarding is provided to newly elected leaders.
