Ben Cushing
Ben began teaching sociology at PCC as a Part Time faculty member in 2008, and has been Full Time since 2013. He teaches about various systems of power (such as capitalism, colonialism, white supremacy and patriarchy) and resistance (like indigenous anti-colonial struggle, racial justice movements and the labor movement.) In our union, he served as Organizing Officer from 2022-2024, and is currently serving as FFAP President.

Michelle DuBarry
Michelle has been working as a Grants Officer for PCC since 2009, and has served on the FFAP Executive Council since 2016. She represented FFAP at the bargaining table in 2019, 2021, and 2023, when she helped lead a campaign to codify flexible schedules and modality in the contract, resisting the administration’s attempt to enforce a one-size-fits-all “return to the office” directive. She wrote about the year-long struggle in Labor Notes – read it here.

Kris Fink
Kris has been working at PCC since 2000, first as a casual bookstore employee, then as the assistant textbook buyer, and for the last twenty years as a composition instructor at the Rock Creek, Sylvania, and SE campuses. She joined the Executive Council in 2015 and now serves as a VP for Grievance and Contract Administration for PT faculty. Kris is passionate about fighting for equity and inclusion for PT faculty at PCC. She served on the 2023 bargaining team, as well as two impact bargaining teams, and is eager to return to the table.

Frank Goulard
Frank has been involved with PCCFFAP contract negotiations since 1992. We have made many gains since then, and there are more gains to achieve in our 2023 negotiations for all three of our employee classes: Academic Professionals, FullTime Faculty, and PartTime Faculty. It is important to have a firm stand based on the virtues of research, transparency, and strong labor. Union strong!

Alex Jordan
Alex has been a PCC math instructor since 2009. At first part-time, now full-time. At Cascade, then Sylvania, and now back at Cascade. He participated in the background of previous bargaining cycles by analyzing proposal costs, summarizing data for infographics, and proposing creative solutions to issues. For this monetary reopener, he hopes those same skills will help insulate our members from what could be harsh economic times these next few years.

Victoria Rau
Victoria has been working at PCC as a part-time instructor in Reading, Writing, and English since 2017. Currently, she serves as the chair of the Advancement of Educators committee (a subcommittee of the EAC), and as the liaison to Academic Support and Student Affairs on the Writing Executive Council. She is also an Online Faculty Mentor, working with Online Learning to support faculty as they navigate new modalities. Victoria had her first experience with union work on the PT Bargaining Advisory Council in 2021, and felt the impact of strong union organizing both with PCC and the WGA. She is looking forward to serving on the reopener bargaining team to help fight for fair pay, equity, and administrative accountability.

Luke Reyes-White
Luke is happy to be supporting CTE students in Welding, Aviation Science and the ThinkBIG program as an Academic Advisor at the Rock Creek Campus. He has worked at PCC for over two years and previously worked at Portland State University (PSU) as a Transfer Admissions Counselor. While at PSU, Luke was actively involved in the PSU AAUP union.
Luke enjoys spending time with his wife and (almost) seven year-old daughter, riding his bike, playing on the river and attempting to maintain his fluency in Spanish.
New to the bargaining team, Luke has been an active union member in higher education for 15 years and is looking forward to representing AP’s and CTE programs at the bargaining table.
